UL RANGE
Our technical expertise in the area and hands-on experience with testing enable us to develop cores that meet different standards required in projects. It is with this sheer confidence in our abilities that we set out to develop a full-fledged range of UL-rated door cores over a year ago, which now includes performance ratings of 45, 60 and 90 minutes with different configurations tested within each rating.
Our door cores from this range comply with the more onerous UL 10C standards of fire testing. A typical UL fire test involves mounting a door assembly in the supporting construction of a furnace and subjecting it to a fire endurance test based on its desired rating. The door assembly then undergoes a rigorous hose stream test to evaluate its impact on erosion and cooling effects of the door core immediately following the fire endurance test. The assembly should withstand the fire endurance for the entire duration of the test and subsequent hose stream phase without flaking and splitting. IDEAL’s UL range of fire doors is certified by the reputed and globally recognized INTERTEKs’ WARNOCK HERSEY product scheme, which enhances the credibility as well as acceptability of this product.
